2009 Code of Conduct
4-H Pima
County Horse Project
Due to
poor treatment of judges on the part of 4-H participants and their parents, the
Pima County Horse Project has had a difficult time securing judges to participate
in horse shows and other events. In order to assure potential judges that they
will be treated with respect at all times during an event, all exhibitors and
their parents are required to sign this code of conduct.
The 4-H
Pima County Horse Project requires that each exhibitor, his or her parents, legal guardian, or any representative acting on
behalf of the exhibitor shall refrain from arguing with or showing
disrespect to judges, trainers, leaders or other show officials. At the judge’s convenience, exhibitors alone have the right to politely
ask the judge where they need improvement. Parents and all others may not
question the judge. Any complaints or comments may be submitted to the
Horse Advisory Board in writing.
Any
violation of this Project Code of Conduct will result in the disqualification of
the exhibitor and the immediate departure of the violator and associated exhibitor from the premises of the 4-H Pima County Horse
Project sponsored activity.
I
hereby acknowledge that I have received and read the 4-H Pima County Horse
Project Code of Conduct and by signing it agree to abide by it.
