Since we have so many riders this year practice is very important.  If you cannot make practices you may not be prepared to ride at the actual shows we are opening. This is also unfair to those riders who come to practice by having to work with people missing. (Everyone will have a place in the line-up after the next meeting, if you are not there we have to put someone in your place, and it is not fair for them to have to learn a new position just to be moved back to their old position.)  I do my best to schedule practices when other shows or 4-H activities are happening, but there will be choices you must make so please let us know when you cannot make a practice, and be prepared to learn the drills you missed.   We also need to have the time to polish our routines and be in since with one another.   You must be practicing at home on side passing and control of your horses.  If you have to fight your horse to be able to stand still, you must practice this also at home.

We are suppose to make this look easy, and you all know that this will take lots of practice.  If you do not practice it will show, so please make sure you practice at home as often as possible.   This is suppose to be fun, but it also requires some work if we are to be asked to go to other shows.                   Thank you.
